Rowhome Square is tiny enough that you can blink and accidentally tour the whole thing, but it packs more history per square foot than neighborhoods ten times its size. Tucked between taller, newer buildings, the square is anchored by Park Coffee Co., the city’s oldest caffeine dealer. Brewing since 1932 and they still do it the same way they did before anybody bothered to use disposable cups. Alongside it sit three remarkably well-preserved townhomes, each a stubborn little time capsule that refused to be replaced.
It’s a pocket-sized corner of the city where you can sip something strong and stroll past pieces of history that somehow survived every redevelopment fad.
